Amazing New Technologies for Fitness from Consumer Electronics Show 2016

CES

The annual, international Consumer Electronics Show is currently being held in Las Vegas, NV. I’m always blown away by some of the amazing technologies that are shown each year and am jealous of anyone who gets to take part in the show. Mashable recently shared some of the Best of CES 2016 and I was excited to see that so many fitness items were included.
Take a look at some of the greatest below and let us know what you think of them on Facebook.

SCiO Food Scanner

This hand-held device takes the guessing out of how many calories are in your meal. It scans your food’s chemical makeup to give you feedback on the food’s nutritional data such as carbs, calories, fat content and more. For anyone who has tried to be really specific in tracking their caloric intake while dieting, you know how difficult this can be. It’s nice that this device can help simplify and take the guessing out of counting your calories.  Learn more about it here: https://www.consumerphysics.com/myscio/

Fitbit Blaze

We’ve all heard of Fitbit the wearable device that helps track our activities and helps us to keep going with our healthy lifestyle. Right? Well now Fitbit Blaze is coming out that looks a lot like a smartwatch. It comes with more stylish bands and frames to change up the look depending on your wardrobe. The Blaze comes with more features than the Fitbit Flex and Fitbit One like an Auto Exercise Recognition program and continuous heart rate monitoring. It syncs with your phone so you can see who is calling (caller ID), text notifications, and music control.
Are you seeing a trend here? Lots of this fitness technology is all about tracking. No reason not to stay motivated now!

Under Armour Gemini 2 Sneakers

These sneakers kind of eliminate the need to wear a fitness tracker on your wrist. Why? Because these fancy running shoes have sensors built right into them. These sensors monitor and store your performance such as distance, calories burned and track your route. Might be helpful if you really don’t like wearing something on your wrist, but if you’re like me I like to watch my time. And unfortunately I can’t do that with these shoes.

Samsung Family Hub Smart Refrigerator

This fancy refrigerator comes with a large 21.5 inch HD touchscreen with some innovative features. How do you feel about having cameras inside your fridge? These keep an eye on what’s in stock in your fridge and then can be accessed through your mobile app. This would be handy for telling you what you need to purchase at the grocery store. However, what if you could program it to know your diet plan and then it rewarded or scolded you when you made choices? Not sure if it can do that or not, but I see where this is going… Check out more of what this refrigerator can do.
What do you think about these technologies? Use your imagination – What other fitness technologies do you think will be around in another 10 or 20 years?
